Sky Academy Studio

Sky Academy Studios used professional broadcast technology to give schoolchildren first-hand experience of producing television content. We helped create interactive digital environments across three locations where students could step into the roles and workflows of a real news studio.

Participants worked with broadcast-quality cameras, green screens and touchscreen tables to write, shoot and edit their own Fact, Fiction or Future video. By 2019, Sky Academy Studios in the UK and Italy had hosted 163,000 children across 2,039 sessions, combining technical learning with confidence-building and creative storytelling.
